Is December a good time to visit North Sikkim?
December usually brings the first proper snow to Lachung. Zero Point is often closed from mid-December. Phodong Monastery holds its masked chaam dances on the 28th and 29th days of the tenth Tibetan month, usually in December, just before Losoong, the Sikkimese harvest new year. Christmas and New Year week is busy and expensive; the first half of the month is quiet.
