About us
Seven lands, nothing else
Darjeeling Tour Plan plans affordable, well-run trips in the Darjeeling hills, Kalimpong, Gangtok and East Sikkim, North Sikkim, West and South Sikkim, Bhutan and the Dooars. We chose these seven because we know their roads, seasons and rooms well enough to plan them by hand.
Every trip is priced three ways, budget, comfort and premium, so you can see what each extra rupee buys. We tell you where a shared jeep does the job as well as a reserved car, which months are cheaper, and when a homestay beats a hotel. A single planner shapes the route with you, books every stay and stays on WhatsApp while you travel.
We write the way we plan. Our pages give distances in kilometres, drive times in hours, altitudes in metres and prices in rupees, and they say plainly when something changes year to year, like permits, park seasons and festival dates.
Our photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences, and each one names its photographer. We would rather show a credited picture of the real place than a styled one of somewhere else.
How a journey comes together
- You tell us the dates, who is travelling and roughly what you want to spend.
- We send a first route with named hotels and an indicative price.
- We refine it together: rooms, pace, vehicle, permits and where to save.
- You book with a deposit; we confirm every service in writing.
- On the road, your planner is a message away.
