Is April a good time to visit Gangtok and East Sikkim?
April is rhododendron season around Kyongnosla, Zuluk and Fambong Lho, and the high lakes thaw. Days are warm in Gangtok with occasional afternoon showers. Nathu La and the Silk Route are open most days. Crowds start building towards the end of the month as school holidays approach in some states.
