Is October a good time to visit Dooars and the Terai?
The season starts properly. Durga Puja fills Siliguri and Jalpaiguri with pandals, and the day after Dashami the Rajbanshi Bhandani Puja is held at Barnish near Maynaguri and across the Dooars. Puja week is the busiest of the year in the parks. Skies clear by the end of the month and the hills show from the plains on good mornings.
